Welcome to the History Department

The History Department at Simon Balle is committed to delivering a quality curriculum which enables students to develop a number of key skills, allowing them to flourish into strong independent learners with a thirst for knowledge.

Students who study History gain opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities which allow them to work as both individuals and as members of a team. They discover how significant events in the past has impacted upon the world today through reflective and creative thinking and they are able to think critically about sources of information, an ever important skill in a continuously developing media driven world.

This website provides information for students and parents about the courses that we teach: some links require a Simon Balle log-in to access the material.
